Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Q : I would love to have some work done on my house but my last experience was dreadful and it has put me off, how do I know that I can trust you?
A : I am sorry that you have had a bad experience previously, I know that not every company works to the same standards as L4, so let me tell you a little about who we are and how we work.
We are based locally and have a factory and offices in Camberley, we have been around for a long time building a reputation that we are proud of, the majority of our work comes through recommendations, and we do a lot of repeat business with the same customers. We are happy for you to talk to or visit some of them to and see our work and hear from them what sort of experience they have had.
We will keep you informed of what we are doing right throughout the build, aiming to keep disruption to a minimum. The team work a standard 8-5 day, although sometimes longer if there is a need to get a certain part of the job finished.
Q : I’m not sure if what I want to do is practical or affordable, is it worth talking to you?
Yes certainly, that is part of the service that we offer. Until we come out and see a property and discuss in some detail what you are trying to acheive it would be impossible to give you advice and solutions. Once we have assessed your property and had those conversations we will be able to advise you of the best options and also be able to put a cost on it.
Q : I want to know the best way to add value to my property by refurbishing and/or extending can you advise me on this?
This is a concern for most people. Whether you are refurbishing a property to sell or let, or making improvements to your residence it makes sense to consider that the ammount you are spending on the property would add value when you do eventually sell. We have been able to offer some very sound practical advice and alternatives to clients on other ways of doing things to meet with their budget and still meet overall requirements
Q : Can you guarantee me that it will be finished on time?
We would love to say yes but I'm sure you will appreciate that there are very few things we can guarantee in life, and sometimes on a build there are things that are out of our control like the British weather for instance. Also some customers ask us to do extra things on the job that were not in the original plan, which we will try to accomodate.
What we will do is work to minimise the risk of delays by working with tried and trusted suppliers. Planning, project managing and working to deadlines are areas we have a lot of expertise in and we set realistic deadlines to acheive client satisfaction.
It is unlikely that we will be able to start work immediately as we always have work booked in advance, but we will give you a relaistic timescale of when we could start, and we do sometimes have a small window available for smaller jobs where we can call on some of our skilled work force who work on a part time basis with us.
Q : Do you only do extensions and refurbishments?
No not at all, these are two of the areas that we have expertise in but some of our other projects have included:
Garden projects including home offices, summer houses, fencing and patio areas
refitting of kitchen and bathrooms
Repair of windows and roofs
Building tailor made units, shelving and storage solutions
